Dan, E Kane is playing some great hockey right now and i would take a shot at him as well. Honestly don't think Buffalo is going to trade him at this point unless they fall off and someone offers them a deal they can't turn down.

i think he would be a good fit. the isles always needed that one big guy who is a complete wiener on the ice who can also play. i'll always like the guy for his KO of matt cooke.
Great podcast guys but no rentals, this team isn't a rental away from a cup so why waste a prospect? If you are giving up assets it needs to be for a player with term that will help out the next few years

leaving the players together and letting them get chemistry is the best thing for this team. weight has made some tweaks but what a difference hes made.

Just my own opinion, I'd like to see Snow look into what Duclair would cost from ARI. I think he's getting a raw deal this year and if we could pry him out of there cheap I would be all for it. Speed kills and he's got it in spades.

Still rather have someone more proven for the 2nd line. Isles playing well. Hope Garth does not think he does not have to do anything. Duclair for a package around Hickey would be nice.

Honestly Chiefs there isn't a GM in the league that would want Duchene cheap

I see no reason why he can't play over guys like Prince and Quine. Not saying it has to be a deadline deal, either. Get Duclair in the offseason and you can dump Prince/Quine. Save some cash, get one better player instead of two mediocre ones. Hell, I'd even offer Prince and Quine as the return.

It's low risk. Worst case scenario? Duclair sucks and we gave up a couple of totally-replaceable players for him. Best case? Duclair hated ARI and returns to how he played with the Rangers before being traded. That's a calculated risk I'll take any day of the week.
